Designer Clothing

We wake up to the sound of an annoying alarm clock, and then crawl out of our beds to get ready for the day. After getting ready (while still half asleep) we drag ourselves out the door of our homes, and through the door of the office, the classroom, or to whatever occupies our daily life. Though most of our days may differ from one another, there is one thing that many of us have in common; and that’s getting ourselves ready for the day.
For some odd reason we don’t want the world to see us the way that we look in the morning. We think that the bed head and bad breath may scare the sun away, so we stay indoors, under protective covering, where nobody will see us until we’ve completed the process of frosting ourselves. First up a new hairstyle, then we brush our teeth, put on whatever fragrant cologne will best suit our day, and then dress ourselves with clothes that will best represent ourselves to whomever, wherever we may go. but let me ask you; in your quest of getting dressed to best represent yourself to the world, have you neglected to clothe yourself with what represents Jesus in you?
Collosians 3:12 says… Therefore, as Gods chosen people, holy and dearly beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with eachother and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all of these virtues put on love which binds them all together in perfect unity.
So listen, if you’ve found yourself to spend countless hours getting ready to show off who you are, I encourage you to clothe yourself with the virtues that will bless others, bless the heart of the Lord, and emulate the love of Jesus to the world.
